I completed submission for Barclay's Small Business Pitch Competition today.
Yay! I did it yall!
After posting on Friday about my submission to a grant, LuvBud Sheila C., sent me information regarding pitch competition.
The deadline was close but doable. I thought it would be easy since I just finished writing. However, I soon realized new script required.
I began again with researching. I brainstormed, then drafted using dictation. Afterwards polishing to presicion. If I worked for perfection, Id never finish. So I asked myself: Did I answer the questions? Did I answer my way? Can I hear my voice? Am I acknowledging and articulating why we're here?
The more I explore these questions, the more I write, I'm removing away the fluff. The questions then become: Can I hear my voice? Am I acknowledging and articulating why we're here?
I shoot my bow and arrow to have a chance at the target. I want to hit the board, yes, but truth is, I want the bull's eye, the big prize, the hoo-rah-rah!
I'm claiming victory; I see it now.
Going through the writing process is squeezing out the oil. I am forced to articulate in what my business is, how I believe in it and what service it will perform. It has certainly stretched me and for this I am thankful.
It's an extraordinary journey. I am in awe. Giving glory to God.
With Love,
Angel
